How quickly the days fly by when you are busy! Especially when your day involves a stimulating and rewarding job while being surrounded by a great group of passionate people.
And so I finish another week at MS Australia. MS Australia is made up of a small and dedicated team of staff who I feel privileged to work with every day.
Together, we have developed an exciting plan to support our members, the state societies who deliver care and services to Australians living with MS, their families and carers.
Yesterday, the MS Australia team spent the afternoon discussing our purpose and aspirations. The afternoon was a tremendous insight into the varied ways we communicate with and advocate on behalf of people affected by MS and what we hope to achieve over the next few months. At the end of the session we all felt refreshed and reinvigorated to continue this work and to ensure that MS Australia is the peak body for MS in Australia, providing leadership in advocacy and communication to support state societies for the benefit of people living with MS.
As you all know, I was so pleased to be offered the opportunity to become the first CEO for MS Australia. Now, I am approaching 100 days as CEO. I have met so many fantastic people who have enlightened and inspired me, I have also been able to develop many great ideas and have been delighted by the positive and warm welcome I have received.
So that’s me – but what about the rest of the MS Australia team? Let me introduce them to you.
I am proud to be working with this small but diverse team. I know that as a group we can achieve many things. What about you? What groups or teams are you part of that work well together? What are your achievements?
