Recognising a life helping people with MS

This week the MS Australia Board had the pleasure of awarding Life Membership to a truly remarkable woman who has given her life to helping improve the lives of people with MS.

For the last 20 years Christina Gillies has been at the heart of the management and organisation of the Multiple Sclerosis Society in Victoria and more recently in the expanded organisation of MSA ACT/NSW/VIC.

Throughout this time she has overseen a lot of change in the organisation and throughout, her staunt leadership and insight has proved invaluable.

Her commitment to improving the lives of people with MS in Australia is unquestionable and having given twenty years of voluntary service to the cause, I believe she has set the benchmark for us all to live up to.

Congratulations Christina on becoming a Life Member of MS Australia.
